Got a last minute table for 3 gals on a Friday night. Decided to sit at the bar instead since it was too chilly outside. Our bartender, Alp, was attentive, passionate, and did a wonderful job explaining the menu. - Kopoglu aka Eggplant dip | 5/5 - was our favorite dip with the bread. Must get. Blew our expectations out the water. - Ahtapot aka octopus | 5/5 - we came because we were in the mood for octopus. Loved every inch of it. - Levrik Marin aka lemon cured sea bass | 4/5 - a little saltier than my liking and much smaller of a plate than I expected. The girls in my party loved it so take it with a grain of "salt" .. ;) - Karidesli Enginar aka artichoke + shrimp | 2/5 - nothing special, just cold shrimp pieces. Wasn't as impressed compared to other dishes. Could skip. - Baklava | 10/5. Omg. Was amazing. It was fresh, tasty, flaky. Everything. Paired very well with the ice cream... we loved it so much we ordered the baklava again after we finished!! - Marstika ice cream | 8/5. Just incredible. Drinks were tasty & service was awesome. It was really the eggplant, octopus, and dessert that blew us away!

So happy I discovered Meyhouse! I've been to the location in Sunnyvale as well but I enjoy this location much more due to ambiance and customer service. Our server was very kind and attentive! The food is delicious! We started with an appetizer called Atom which are spicy peppers in a yogurt type sauce served with sesame bread. It's delicious but you need to be brave when it comes to spicy. The Alinazik is a beef dish over an eggplant dip ( tasty!). For dessert, we had the rice pudding which was cozy. Also fun note! There's a jazz club in the back of the restaurant ( this location) that we highly enjoyed checking out. It's an extra charge but a nice experience if you want to have a nice date and listen to lovely music from talented musicians.

Overall a great evening experience with some standout dishes. Depending on what you order and seating it may be worth the price. Food: Turkmen Mantisi (4/5) - Soft dumplings over yogurt, yogurt provided more flavor than the dumplings Ahtapot (5/5) - Outstanding octopus dish, incredible flavor and texture Alinazik (3/5) - Beef skewers were decently tender, eggplant was good but not worth the price Cemenli Tavuk (5/5) - Very tender and moist chicken, over toasted orzo Service: Pleasant, helpful with the menu and recommendations. Ambiance: Most of the dining room is on the louder side when full. We were seated in a quieter corner which provided a great experience. Planning to come back for the Ahtapot and to try some other dishes.

Hands down one of the best Turkish restaurant in the Bay Area. This is their second location, with the original being in Sunnyvale. It tastes like home cooking and every bite transports you to a world full of nothing but pleasure and delight. I've been here a few times now (and many more at the original location) and every time I come I'm slightly worried that the magic will wear off but l've found myself pleasantly surprised each and every time without fail. Meyhouse delivers on everything - authenticity, flavor, service and environment. It is not a quick, cheap meal but you get what you pay for and it's definitely worth it. As far as Palo Alto, it's very competitive. Even if you are intimidated and unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine, I encourage you to be adventurous and give it a try. The staff can help you order if you tell them what you generally like. From their kopoglu and dolmas to their kofte and adana kebab, I have yet to taste a dish from Meyhouse that has been anything but delicious. They take an approach of highlighting their quality ingredients and keeping dishes simple. Even the bread is amazing and it's no surprise since it's made in-house from scratch in their own wood fire oven; it's fluffy, soft yet chewy, and flavorful. You can even have a little olive oil with it or if you are feeling bold, dip it in the kopoglu or spread some girit meze on top. My new tradition is to order a whole bread 'to go' every time l dine there. It's that good! As far as beverages, it's best to end your meal with some tea! During your meal, there is an array of great wine options, but l'd recommend trying the Turkish wine since it's a bit harder to find elsewhere. If you are feeling brave, you can go for the Raki but I have to warn you, it's not for everyone. The staff and owners are friendly, welcoming and always aim to please. The environment is casual and inviting. They even have live music sometimes. We always had quality service with the just right amount of interactions - they made sure to check on us and help us if we needed something without being overbearing. All their suggestions were spot on and I always felt like they were trying to help rather than upsell us. We felt like part of the family. Overall, even if you've never tried Turkish food, I would highly recommend visiting Meyhouse and experiencing their elevated take on simple dishes, using high quality ingredients mixed with love and dedication to perfection.

So so soooo good!! Came here for the first time last night with some friends and had the best time. The food and drinks are unreal, service is outstanding-- this might be my new favorite restaurant! Don't remember the names of everything we had, but the small plates were all amazing-- especially the octopus. The arugula salad with tomato was also delicious. Can't really go wrong with anything you order! Can't wait to come back and try more.

Everything was good, it was quite busy even for a weeknight. The place can get loud with so many people, so it might not be the best place to have a deep conversation. Decoration and vibes were nice. As many reviewers have mentioned, get the Kopoglu (eggplant over yogurt) appetizer dish. It was my favorite of the night. Especially dipping it with their freshly warm bread. We also got the veal sweebread (aka organ meat). If you like that stuff, it came out tender and flavorful. Got the lambchops, which were well seasoned and not overly gamey. Husband got the tenderloin skewers, which came on top of creamy eggplant. Overall, we liked everything we got. However, it does come out to over $100/person. Also, they add on a "4% living wage surcharge", so be aware when tipping.

I heard about Meyhouse through my physical trainer who was raving about this place and she was right, this is great. This is my new favorite Turkish restaurant! Very nice casual chic ambiance. The food was excellent, and everything we ordered was on point. I can vouch for the borek, octopus, lamb chops, baklava and rice pudding. Service was very warm, courteous, and attentive without being overbearing. I am a huge fan and will be back... often. Need to check out their other location next.

Came here to celebrate an anniversary with my bf. It was a weekday night, so by the time we got there, it was already near closing time. Regardless, the service was friendly and attentive. We didn't feel rushed at all. For the appetizer, we chose the octopus and the hummus. I loved them both. Highly recommend getting these. The complementary bread was also warm and fresh. The mantisi (dumpling) was good, but not very memorable. I would probably skip next time. For the main, we got the levrek (I think?) to share. I like that they de-bone it for us. It's pretty mesmerizing to watch them doing it. The fish was not bad, but I guess I had too high of an expectation for it. It was definitely prepared well, but the fish itself is not for me.
